METHODS
The methods that I use are wide ranging, based on common sense and understanding. Most fall under the 'heading' of 'natural' methods. It is probably easier to say what methods I don't use. Which encompass anything that causes pain or anything that will put the horse, rider, handler or of cause the trainer in danger of injury (or insanity!?!)
I think it is very important to try to make the sessions fun. This is not always possible depending on the problem that is being addressed, but let's face it if you and your horse are having fun then both of you will respond far more quickly. I have also found that many of my clients have forgotten that they are supposed to enjoy being with their horse; some even dread having to go to the yard. It is after all a hobby for most of us - even those of us that work all day every day with horses tend to go out for a ride or two in our spare time.
